How to auto-schedule emails in Gmail (drop "Sending" — it's implied)
Knowing the right time to send email ensures higher chance that the email gets read especially when you're dealing with clients in different time zone. So, if you schedule an automatic email(s) in Gmail, it gets queued up and delivered automatically at your chosen time—even if your laptop is off or you're away from your inbox.
In this article, I'm going to walk you through everything steps of scheduling emails in Gmail. The scheduling of emails work on smartphone, Laptop, Mac, iPad, and tablet. So, device is not a barrier in this procedure. Follow these steps to successfully scheduled email for later in Gmail.
How to Schedule Emails in Gmail
Open your Gmail app (for smartphones, tablets, and iPad). If you want to schedule emails from your PC, go-to gmail.com. on the Gmail interface, click “Compose” and write your email as you used to draft it.
Instead of hitting the “Send” button, just click the three-dot button beside it and select “Schedule Send,” as it's shown in the screenshots below.
Now, select your preferred schedules. The ones in Gmail are “Tomorrow Morning,” “Tomorrow Afternoon,” and “Monday Morning.” However, there's also the option to “pick your preferred date and time.”
After you schedule the email, it will send automatically base on your time zone. This is why it's important to also schedule the date and time using your current time zone.
How to view or edit schedule emails
If you want to view or make some adjustments to the schedule email, all you need to do is open your Gmail app or account (if you're using a PC). Go-to “Schedule” and click the email in question.
You can only “Cancel Send” to edit the email. Once you cancel sending the schedule email, it'll be reverted to “Draft.” inbox. You need to edit the email in drafts and follow the previous steps to re-schedule it for automatic send.
