To check your application status, kindly visit the card homepage at “https://www.card.samsung.com.”

How to Activate the Galaxy Card

Once your credit card arrives, you can begin the activation process in your Samsung Wallet. But for easy activation, you can simply use your Galaxy device's camera to scan the QR code that is available on the card's welcome kit.

Using the Galaxy device camera to scan the QR code will prompt you a “Open Samsung Wallet” button. Tap the button to open your wallet and input the card details such as expiry date and CVV number.

But if you're not using a Galaxy device, you will need to sign into your Samsung Account to link your card. You will also need to enter the card details manually, including the card number, the export date, and CVV number.

To link the card manually, you will need to visit “https://www.card.samsung.com” and sign in to your Samsung account. On your account dashboard, tap the ‘Activate’ button and manually input your card details. You can also use this method to activate the credit card if you don't have the card welcome kit.

How to use Samsung Galaxy Credit Card

Once your Samsung Galaxy Credit Card is approved and sitting in your Samsung Wallet, you can start using it right away for everyday spending, and the real value comes from how the cash reward tiers are structured. You'll earn the highest return of 5% when you buy directly from Samsung, which covers new Galaxy phones, tablets, watches, and other devices bought either online at Samsung's site or in a physical Samsung store.

Purchases made using Samsung Wallet itself, at any retailer that accepts it, earn you 3% back, while subscriptions to streaming platforms such as Netflix, Disney+, and Spotify bring in 2%. Every other purchase outside these categories still earns a flat 1%, so there's no spending category where you're earning nothing. This tiered setup rewards Samsung loyalists the most, especially if you're planning to preorder a new Galaxy device, since that purchase alone can translate into a meaningful cash reward.

Beyond daily spending, the card also comes with a welcome bonus and added perks worth taking advantage of early on. New cardholders can earn $200 in bonus cash rewards by spending $2,000 within the first 90 days of opening the account, which is easy to hit if you're already making a large Samsung purchase or bundling regular expenses onto the card. Cardholders also get a 20% discount on Samsung's VIP Advantage membership, adding extra savings on top of the cashback structure.

For managing the card day-to-day, everything happens inside Samsung Wallet — checking your balance, tracking rewards, and making payments are all handled from the app, since Barclays built this as a digital-first card without a separate banking app to juggle. A physical metal version does ship out for card-present purchases, but for most people, the Wallet app becomes the main hub for using and monitoring the card.
