Disney+ is now officially available to watch directly on Meta Quest VR headsets like the Quest 3 and Quest 3S. This update was first announced by Meta in the beginning of 2025. Now, Disney+ and its vast catalog are fully integrated into Meta's VR users in the US.

As a Quest owner, you can now stream Disney+ shows and films right inside your headset without needing a phone or TV. You can now go-to Meta Quest Store on the headset to download a dedicated Disney+ app. Once installed, you can log in with your Disney+ account and browse content inside the headset.

Of course, this is, indeed, a big step in Meta’s push to make Quest devices not just for games and VR apps, but a home cinema experience where you can watch major streaming services.

The Quest platform supports Dolby Vision HDR visuals on Quest 3/3S for some titles, and with a Disney+ Premium subscription, you can get Dolby Atmos immersive audio for richer sound. However, it's important to note that the app does not currently support 3D viewing.

The Disney+ app on Meta Quest plays video in flat 2D only, even though you’re wearing a VR headset. You still watch it on a virtual “big screen” inside the headset, but it’s not stereoscopic 3D where objects pop out or have real depth like in a true 3D movie.

Previously, Quest users had to watch Disney+ using browsers or workarounds. Now, it’s natively support via an app. While the app is limited to US-based Quest users for now, Meta says that international roll out is "coming soon."
